BIO LUCKY FONZ III
In 2006, the Dutch singer-songwriter Lucky Fonz III won three prizes for his performances, among which the Grolsch Great Prize of The Netherlands for singer-songwriters, Holland’s most prestigious prize for new acts.

His self titled debut album was critically acclaimed and picked up by international press. Interviews, pictures and unanimously positive reviews appeared in various newspapers and magazines.

With his songs on national radio and a persistent attention in national press, Lucky Fonz III has become a popular live act. BIO CHRISTOPHER ERNST
Independent musician Christopher Ernst is about to release his second solo ep "Little Pieces".

Ernst sings and plays guitar accompanying his vocal either with a delicate finger-picking style or with a fiery stomping slide - each offset with his own melodic killer punch.

Since the release of his self-titled EP in late 2004 Christopher has gigged with Xavier Rudd, Ash Grunwald, and the Whitlams among many others, and has seen a string of his tracks receive airplay on Triple J's Roots n All and on community radio stations across the country.

Ernst has played to packed houses at The Soundlounge on the Gold-Coast and the Troubadour in Brisbane, as well as appearances - with his band playing a cracking set - at Woodford Folk Festival, Festival of the Sun and The Quicksilver Pro show. And these days he's as likely to be playing indie venues, folk clubs or festivals.

BIO ROGERTHAT
Live, the Rogerthat experience is a free flowing thing that is reaching a lot of people. The band – comfortable in their current line up – is picking up great wraps.

Rogerthat is:
Jesse Bailey
- vocals
James Young
- guitar
Lachlan Leckie
- bass
Dan Briffa
- drums

Prior to drummer Dan Briffa joining, the other three members had been developing at their own pace, melding their influences together. And with the pieces all in place, the most rapid development for Rogerthat has happened over the last eighteen months. They cranked at the Wonderland Festival last year and the Quicksilver Pro Festival this year. They have toured and gigged with a stack of other bands: The Herd, The Beautiful Girls, Bob Evans, Spiderbait, Butterfingers and the Custom Kings.

They’re now selling out their own gigs - including the troubadour - up and down the coast.

"Chasing The Sun" (in store through Green Media) has picked up play on Triple J and community stations around the country. It was recorded in mid ‘06 and it bridges the gap before the band release thier mini-album "The Vanilla Gorillas" late 2007.

INFLUENCES LUCKY FONZ III
Lucky Fonz III is deeply rooted in American song traditions; from Johnny Cash and Bob Dylanto Bright Eyes and Will Oldham.

After having been a barpianist, a rave-DJ, a street musician and leader of a rockband, he discovered traditional folkmusic whilst living in Edinburgh, Scotland.

His second album is expected in the fall of 2007. His new songs appear to have a more distinctly European feel, incorporating influences such as the French chanson, gypsy song and English balladry. Even so, the blues and country are never far away. Lucky is also active as a piano-player in the free-jazz trio Aemstellarcreek, who self-released the album "Live at Crea 206". He also writes songs for other singers.

INFLUENCES CHRISTOPHER ERNST
Christopher Ernst first single "Friendships Grow Old" shows touches of his ability to tap into his "inner soul crooner".

From there the album goes on a journey through style: looping guitar under melodic vocals and taking it's cues variously from the gentleness of George Harrison and the lyricism of Roddy Frame and Tracy Chapman.

Proving as at home ploughing through the swamp stomp of "Love's A Tough Game", as he is confessing weakness in "Toy Soldiers".

INFLUENCES ROGERTHAT
Rogerthat find their influences in various range from Jimi Hendrix to Bob Marley to Led Zeppelin, and The Doors.

Equal parts Marley and Lee Scratch Perry mashed up with steel blues of Muddy Waters (circa electric mud) or The Doors gone dub give you an idea of their sound..

Mash the raw electric, psychedelic, rock-reggae of those artists and you’d get close to Burleigh Heads based quartet Rogerthat.

INFLUENCES BLACK MARKET RHYTHM CO.
This bands counts their influences in years, rather than bands.

1964: the British invasion
1969: the summer of love
1979: punk rockers finding reggae.

The Black Market Rhythm Co. sound all at once like Ben Harper playing guitar for the Beatles and Keith Richards jamming with The Clash – blues pop harmony, meets grungy ghetto grooves.
