BLACK MARKET RHYTHM CO - Lo-Fi Records, Hi-Fi Radio

Low-Fi Records, Hi-Fi Radio is the 11 track debut album from the four piece band. It’s full of catchy tunes that broadly fall under the indie pop, roots, rock/reggae roof.

The catchy title track Lo-Fi Records, Hi-Fi Radio is a live favourite and the band are known for their high energy gigs. The album combines a stack of new material and a couple of longer term favourites from the bands live set. Big songs at the recent Queenscliff and Woodford festivals for the band were the title track, the shimmering pop of You’re So Cool and the rootsy Lucky Star and Cinderella.

ROGERTHAT - Use Your Heart


Use Your Heart is Rogerthat at their quietest. The song is the flipside to the first single Hanging On, taken from their new release The Vanilla Gorillas. While its backbone is a cruisey road/travel tune sing along, be aware of the subversive underbelly.

LUCKY FONZ III - The Painter

This track is taken from Lucky Fonz III ’s critically acclaimed first album, released in Australia in June of 07. A lot of artists are attracted to Fonz ‘s lyrically adept songs. His material has already been covered by a number of other artists through Australia and the Netherlands - both Romance and Mickey from his self titled album have cover versions viewable on YouTube.

The Painter is a great example of Lucky Fonz III’s hooky way around a tune and incisive lyric writing. The song is included in Quiksilver’s just released Young Guns III and The Two Dans fishing show. It has also attracted quite a bit of alternative radio airplay through his recent visit to Australia. We hope you enjoy it.
